Robert de Vaugondy was the foremost mapmaker in France during the 18th Century, a time when explorers and navigators pushed back known frontiers. De Vaugondy presented this globe of exploration, marking the routes of contemporary explorers, to the French King Louis XV. This earned him the title of Cartographer to the Royal Court. This replica of his globe is truly an accurate picture of the world in 1745. Decorative round box with base support for display. Measures 3.5" x 3.3".

Returns & Replacements
