SunPumps' SDS-D series of submersible DC pumps are high-efficiency positive displacement pumps can be installed below the water level in a river, pond, cistern, or well (fits well casings 4" and larger). They can be used to fill an open tank or in a pressurized water delivery system.
Constructed of super-strong stainless steel and easy to install by hand without any special equipment, these pumps are durable, corrosion-resistant, and highly economical.
The SDS-D series was the very first diaphragm submersible pumps introduced for solar-direct use in 1988, and have decades of proven performance history. They operate on 12-30 VDC that can be supplied from solar panels, batteries, or other sources. These durable, versatile pumps are great for off-grid living and agriculture applications.
At 30VDC, the SDS-D-228 can move water at up to 1.2 gallons per minute or up to 230 feet high. See the document linked below for the full output curve.
SDS-D series pumps are designed to work with a SunPumps controller. In addition to maximizing the SDS-D pump's performance and protecting both the pump and the power source, a SunPumps brand pump controller (available separately on the "Accessories" tab) must be used in conjunction with this pump in order to validate this pump's warranty.
