The Conext SW series of 120/240V hybrid inverters is perfect for off-grid solar, grid-tie backup power, and self-consumption applications. With pure sine wave output in 50 or 60 Hz (selectable), the Conext SW can produce 120/240V (AC) output from 120V (AC) input without an external transformer.
The Conext SW 4048 delivers 3.8 kW of continuous power to AC loads in the home, and charges 48V batteries with up to 45A of output current. It supports larger power needs by integrating with fuel-based generators as required to use battery power to assist in supplying loads larger than the generator's output. It's self-consumption ready - able to prioritize solar consumption over the grid while maintaining zero grid export - and uses intelligent features to work with the grid to avoid peak utility charges.
Note: Stacking (multiple parallel) of SW units is not supported by Schneider Electric. For larger capacity or stacked systems, we recommend using the XW+ or XW Pro platform.
Note: Legacy SW firmware includes a "multi-unit" program setting, but this is no longer a viable configuration. Schneider recommends updating all hardware (inverter, charge controller, etc.) with the latest firmware prior to or upon commissioning.
The SW 4048 is also available as a pre-wired inverter with a MidNite Solar charge controller and other electrical components for easy, turn-key installation.
