Outback Power's FXR Series hybrid inverter/chargers feature 7 programmable modes of operation, including advanced battery charging and generator assist for true flexibility both with and without a connection to the grid. Building on OutBack's FX Series inverters, the FXR's modular system architecture is ready for increased power needs in the future with the addition of more FXR Inverter/Chargers (up to 9 in a 3-phase system and up to 10 in a grid-tied system).
The OutBack VFXR3648A Inverter/Charger can deliver up to 3600W continuously, and up to 6000W of instantaneous power. The "V" prefix on the FXR model number stands for "vented" (the vented models use outside air for extra cooling in addition to the internal cooling fan and therefore have higher power ratings than the non-vented FXR models). As a battery charger, it can charge 48V batteries with up to 45 DC amps or 60 AC amps.
This inverter requires a MATE3 (available separately on the "Accessories" tab) to use OutBack's OPTICS RE monitoring and system control software.
