MidNite Solar Surge Protection Device (MNSPD)
MidNite's MNSPD series of surge protection devices are designed to protect both AC and DC solar PV components from electrical surges like lightning strikes. Rated for indoor or outdoor use, it can provide protection to service panels, load centers, or any electronic device requiring protection.
The surge protector works by clamping current surges to a safe voltage that will not damage the electronics in the circuit in which it is installed. Blue LEDs visible from a distance indicate that the device is working properly and your system is protected from power surges.
Choose the model with the voltage rating that matches or exceeds the nominal voltage of your system. The 115-volt model is ideal for 12V, 24V, or 48V battery circuits. The 300-volt AC model is ideal for 120/240VAC circuits. The 300-volt DC model is ideal for off-grid PV combiners and charge controller inputs. The 600-volt model is ideal for grid-tied PV combiners and inverter inputs.
