The user-friendly, low-voltage hydroelctric turbines from HI Power require no mechanical or electrical adjustments because they are built to match each individual site. They are more efficient than car alternator types over a wider range of head and flow. The 4-nozzle configuration allows for easy adjustments in situations with varying flows (for example, Northern California's wet winters and dry summers). With 800 Watts of power, this hydroelectric turbine is designed for dynamic pressures of 30psi (70' of head) and above.
These hydroelectric generators are built using renewable energy.
This hydroelectric turbine is available in 12V, 24V, 48V, and 120V for direct battery charging. The 48V and 120V units allow the use of smaller gauge wire between the turbine and batteries. An MPPT charge controller can be used to step the voltage down for charging and regulating 12V, 24V, and 48V batteries.
Call our renewable energy techs at 800-919-2400 to order. Specify your battery voltage, transmission line length and size, flow, pressure, pipe size, and pipe length. Use our hydroelectric site evaluation form to get as much of this information as possible (also available on page 105 of our 14th Edition Solar Living Sourcebook), and we'll help you figure out whatever is missing so you can be sure you're getting exactly the right hydroelectric generator you need for your site.
