The heart of this system is an OutBack FLEXpower TWO pre-wired dual inverter system rated at 7200 continuous Watts. Featuring two of OutBack's vented VFXR3648A pure sine wave inverters and two of OutBack's FLEXmax 80 MPPT charge controllers wired together in a single unit that can be wall-mounted either horizontally or vertically, the FLEXpower TWO delivers 120/240VAC output at 50Hz or 60Hz (selectable).
The answer starts with knowing how much power you need on a daily basis in kilowatt-hours (our load calculator can help with this; divide the number it gives you in Watt-hours by 1000 to get kilowatt-hours, or kWh).
Compare your daily kWh needs to the map here, which shows the amount of daily kWh this system's solar panels will produce if installed at an optimal tilt during the time of year when there's the least amount of sun. If your needs exceed the solar potential shown for your area on the map, check out our larger off-grid solar power system kits or call us at 800-919-2400.
If this 7.3 kW Off-Grid Residential Solar Power System is appropriately sized for your needs, then it's time to consider which battery storage and solar panel mounting options you want to use with it. The tables below compare each of these options.
