Solar Panels

The Charging Source

For most renewable energy systems, solar panels alone, or in an array, can provide all or part of the electrical energy required to charge batteries or directly power DC loads. With adequate sunshine, solar panels (also called modules) provide long life, silent operation, consistent output, and specific power ranges for various-sized solar systems. The size of the demand helps dictate the number and configuration of solar panels. Wiring panels in different ways can optimize both system voltage and power output. Different loads have different needs in terms of amperage. Loads with extreme voltage/amperage requirements may require temporary support of a backup generator or other source.
