Submersible Pumps

Every submersible pump sold by Real Goods has a sealed motor assembly to protect it from water and freeze damage and allow it to be installed below the water surface. Submersible pumps work great as well pumps, and because the DC models can run solar-direct, they can be indispensable for delivering water off-grid.

Most of our submersible pumps are either helical rotor pumps or diaphragm pumps. For help choosing a submersible pump or well pump to fit your needs, call our Tech Desk at 800-919-2400, or fill out our Water Supply Questionnaire.

"The standard rural utility-powered water system consists of a submersible pump in the well delivering water into a pressure tank in a location that's safe from freezing. A pressure tank extends the time between pumping cycles by saving up some pressurized water for delivery later."
