Down To Earth Rose & Flower Mix supplies your favorite flowering bulbs, annuals and perennials with the nutrients they need for vigorous growth and sensational flowers. It is outstanding for all types of roses, bulbs, flowering shrubs and even onions and garlic. Apply when planting new roses, bulbs and perennials and use throughout the season when new growth appears on existing plants.
Bulbs: Add 2 tablespoons per hole for average size bulbs, more for larger varieties. Mix thoroughly into soil and water in well.
Perennials & Roses: Apply 1/2-1 cup per plant when new growth appears in spring, mix into soil surface and water in well. Repeat application when blooms appear and again in late fall at half the recommended amount.
Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds: Apply 5-6 lbs per 100 square feet and thoroughly mix into the top 3" of garden soil. For transplants, add 1-2 tablespoons per hole and water in well. To feed established plants, side dress 2-4 tablespoons per plant twice each month during the growing season.
Containers & Houseplants: For new planting, mix 1/4-1/2 lb per cubic foot of soil and mix thoroughly. For established plants, mix 1-2 tablespoons per gallon of soil.

What is "N-P or K"?
Nitrogen (N) - Nitrogen is necessary for lush, green, leafy growth. An excess, however, will promote vegetative growth at the expense of the fruit or flowers. Nitrogen is generally applied at higher concentrations in early growth stages.
Phosphorus (P) - Phosphorus will promote big, bright bloom and enhanced fruit production. Phosphorus is essential for fruiting, flowering, strong root growth and quality seed development.
Potassium (K) - Potassium, or potash, helps produce strong sturdy plants and quality fruit. Potassium naturally increases a plants resistance to all types of stress and is vital for cell growth and carbohydrate metabolism.
